The Partners and staff of Dodd Wealthcare and Dodd & Co would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Every year, in lieu of sending corporate Christmas cards, Dodds makes a donation to charities chosen by staff who have perhaps received support from their recommended charity, or simply just recognising the fantastic job that they do.
In addition to Dodd’s corporate donation, festive fundraising activities are carried out by the staff to help raise even more funds for each charity. Keep an eye on our social media throughout the festive season for fun activities including; Christmas breakfasts, Christmas BAKE OFF and much, much more!
This year, we had so many fantastic suggestions, that we couldn’t choose just one! Therefore, we are delighted to announce that our Christmas Charities of 2019 are; BEEP, 4Louis, Team Evie and The Rock Youth Project. Please see below for further details on each charity.
The Beep Fund Ltd, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019, is a Cumbrian based charity, which brings emergency medical care to the patient. Whether that is on the roadside at the scene of a road traffic accident or in your home during a life-threatening emergency, their team of volunteer BEEP Doctors are on call 24/7 to provide enhanced clinical care in medical emergencies.
4Louis is a UK charity that works across the country to support anyone affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and the death of a baby or child. They also work to improve the care bereaved families receive from health care and other professionals.
4Louis was founded by Louis’ family in 2009 who found that there was very little access to support and memory making following Louis being stillborn at 38weeks.
A charity set up in memory of Evie Johnston! Their mission is to help sick children and their families who face similar challenges to those Evie faced in her all too short life.
This mission is achieved by supporting 15 different wards and medical teams across the North East and Cumbria by raising vital funds to buy physiotherapy equipment, sensory equipment, comfort items, portable libraries, TVs, iPads for patients and staff training, Christmas and Easter hampers, breaks away for bereaved families and much, much more…
The Rock Youth Project
The Rock Youth Project aims to provide quality youth work in Currock and Upperby, to meet the needs of the children and young people in this area and to promote equality and inclusion for all young people.
The Rock run 7 different youth clubs and activities each week split by age range into juniors and seniors. They are currently based in an old bowling green right in the heart of a riverside housing estate. The buildings are no longer fit for purpose and they have just launched a huge project to raise enough money to build a much needed brand new facility to ensure they can continue to deliver their vital work in the community.
